Attracting young talent with Amanda Dawson and Andy Luikens of RDO Equipment Co (US)

'Start to interest the young in a career in agri-turf from a very early age - and keep that fire lit".

That is the key message from Amanda Dawson, HR Director and Andy Luikens, Talent Acquisition Manager of RDO Equipment Co, the ag and construction equipment dealership based at Fargo, North Dakota which operates 75 branches in 9 States across the US and has partnerships in several international markets.

The business was started from a single branch in North Dakota by Ronald Offutt at the age of 26 in 1968 and has grown into one of the largest dealer groups in the US.

Chris Biddle talks to Amanda and Andy about the initiatives they use to interest young people and how they closely monitor the progress of staff in the service and parts departments to promote and encourage long-term career prospects with the company
